Zine Making workshop/ Duke Create at Rubinstein Arts Center

I will be teaching a Zine Making Workshop on Saturday, November 23, 2-4pm in conjunction with Duke Create. Free for Duke students & staff, it will take place in the Makerspace at the Rubinstein Arts Center.

In the course, we will look at a collection of zines from the past & present and then create a zine together, which will be available for pick up at a later date.

Artist Studios over Local 506- opening November 9

We are excited to announce the opening of our showroom/ reading room/ workshop in Chapel Hill, on the 2nd floor at 506A W. Franklin Street. The hallway of studios, shared with photographer Lindsay Metivier, painter Ben Hamburger and artist & owner of Bowbarr Amanda Barr, will open on Friday, November 9, 6-9pm during the second Friday art walk in Chapel Hill. Amanda Barr will be opening up her space to the drawings of Bill Thelen & Conner Calhoun, in her revolving gallery/ studio ‘My Room.’ The Concern Newsstand’s space will be open during events, like the second Fridays and by appointment.
